Every product begins with a relationship.
Our founders grew up in this industry. They knew the mills before they started Verlee. The three partners below aren't new vendors but are long-standing relationships with family-run operations that share the same standards we built this brand around.

The soil here is particular. So is the climate, and the light, and the proximity to water. The Aegean region of Turkey has produced some of the finest cotton in the world for as long as anyone can remember, and this mill has been working with it since 1996 — organically, from the beginning, before it was a trend or a talking point.
They make our towels. The zero-twist construction they use leaves the cotton fibers untwisted during weaving, so the pile stays open and grows softer with every wash. It is a slower, more demanding process than conventional methods, and they have been doing it the same way for nearly thirty years.
Everything happens in-house — fiber sourcing, spinning, weaving, dyeing, finishing. GOTS certified and OEKO-TEX Step certified, both maintained through independent annual audits.

The Babadağ township of Denizli has been a center of weaving for 700 years. This family-run mill has been part of that tradition since 1988, combining a deep respect for that history with a genuine commitment to what comes next. They hold patents. They develop new formulas for cotton construction. Innovators who also happen to know exactly where they come from.
They produce our bath textiles alongside our first Denizli mill, and the two bring different strengths to the same category. Where the first mill leads on organic material sourcing, this one leads on construction technique. Forty-five new-technology weaving machines. Ten tons of fabric per day. A quality standard that does not shift based on volume.
Multi-generational ownership means the knowledge base here is not institutional. It is personal. The people running this mill today learned it from the people who built it. That continuity shows up in the consistency of the product.

This family's history in the cotton trade stretches back to the early 1900s, when the founder left Rajasthan for Mumbai with little more than expertise and ambition. Five generations later, the business is run by three of his descendants simultaneously. Each one responsible for a different part of the operation. Each one carrying a depth of knowledge that accumulates over a lifetime, not a career.
They produce all of our bedding. Every percale, every sateen, every fitted sheet built to stay on the corner of your mattress. They export to more than 25 countries and apply the same standards to every market. GOTS certified organic cotton is sourced at the start of each season, processed through in-house spinning and weaving, and finished with dyeing done by craftspeople who have spent years developing their eye for color and consistency.
What sets this mill apart is the combination of scale and care. Large enough to deliver consistent quality across every order. Family-run enough to pick up the phone when something is not right. In 20-plus years of operation, that combination is rarer than it sounds.
Knowing who makes your product is part of knowing what it is worth.
It is also part of why we can show you exactly what it costs to make. When you know the people, you know the numbers. That is the whole point.
